Isn't it romantic?

Chantilly lace bias cut gown with ivory silk charmeuse slip and flower detail for Audrey. I wish I'd taken more photos, but I think we were all fluttery with the moment and how very pretty she looked.

It's party time.

Multi-hued tulle strapless gown with breakaway skirt for Corinna. When she tried this one on in the shop, people came in off the street to tell her how amazing she looked. I'm just saying.

I have potential.
Okay, maybe my taffeta's a little rumply, and I know my high collar's not quite the fashion anymore.
My ribbons and lace have probably seen better days. But, what do you say? A little nip here, a tuck there?
One more night on the town? For old time's sake?
Vintage dress made into ruffle bolero for Emily. Go get 'em, girl.

We went to the sweetest wedding.
in a secret garden.
There are certainly lovely photos of the actual wedding--as in, bride, groom, bridal party (attired in assorted and sundry English Dept. dresses)--but I kind of think those belong to the happy couple for the moment. Clara and I did enjoy ducking in and out of the hedgerows, skittering over hill and dale in our party shoes, and reveling in the warm evening light...

petals and paste diamonds...
Champagne silk organza dress embellishment for Leslie. The sparkles are vintage rhinestone eardrops she inherited from both sides of the family (the fourth is for her hair).

Something old.
Sunday was moody and cool, so I spent way too many hours at the Vintage Expo (Clara patiently accompanied me). Among my finds was a dear little grosgrain ribbon pillbox hat, adorned with these flowers:
So sweet and pretty, but the years had not been kind. Something sentimental in me can't help rescuing little pieces like this, so I gently took it apart, soaked, cleaned, sun-dried and reassembled it:
I also added a little swath of netting that dips over one eye. Probably not "worth" the hours it took to do it, but a little labor-of-love is good for the soul, n'est-ce pas?

Organza extravaganza.

New tattered organza shrug for Raegen. I love it! I want it!
I at least want to try it on. Okay, sort of the wrong outfit. And nice sunburned nose, Dye.

The world is my oyster.
A while back I loaned out my dear Oysters & Pearls dress to talented photographer Corbin Gurkin for a photo shoot in Santa Barbara. To my dazzled surprise, I spied the pictures on Once Wed this morning. Once Wed always features such beautiful wedding inspiration...I'm pleased as punch to be in such company. Here are a couple more photos from the shoot:
